I am usually a slow poke when it comes to fads or trends. When millions have already gotten hooked or has moved on from MySpace, I got involved in it only since beginning of this year.
And I wouldn’t have thought I will get involved in upcoming and popular social sites until I found myself getting led by the leash on Facebook.
Facebook makes its users do the irrational and nonsensical things to their friends like poking their friends, throwing a chicken and even biting and turning friends into ‘vampires’ and ‘werewolves’. There are many countless stuff to do on Facebook, thanks (or no thanks!) to third-party applications that can be added to one’s profile page. You even have an application where you can buy virtual drinks for your friends!
I am just simply loving the part of poking people, just for the fun of it. And finding friends that I’ve lost touch with in too long a time. While many have not jumped on this bandwagon, this is simply much more entertaining than Friendster. No wonder the office bans access to Facebook but not Friendster. Hahahaha!
